Before the canvas, there was the lens.

Long before painting became my primary medium, photography was where my visual language began. From working with film in the darkroom to capturing fleeting moments in everyday life, the camera became my first way of understanding composition, light, and emotional presence.

Photography remains the foundation of my creative process. It is often the first step in translating an idea, whether it evolves into a painting, a digital work, or a moving image. Through the lens, I observe, collect, and refine. It is both a point of origin and a point of return, bridging stillness and motion, and guiding the transition between disciplines.
